Why are some items out of stock?
I make all Oaticakes myself. Each batch takes 24 hours to make from start to finish, so I am limited in how many I can make at any one time. This means some flavours can go out of stock at busy times. But rest assured I am always working full time making new batches of Oaticakes.
Are Oaticakes Suitable for Guinea Pigs?
As far as I am aware any ingredient suitable for rabbits is also suitable for guinea pigs. However, I am not an expert in guinea pig nutrition, so it’s up to the owner to do their own research on both ingredients and portion size.
How do I store Oaticakes?
As Oaticakes are freshly made and contain no preservatives and additives they need to be stored in an airtight container, preferably out of direct sunlight. All storage instructions, BB date and batch numbers can be found on every product label.

Yes, it is registered with Central Bedfordshire Council GB/702/0402
Is Oaticakes for Rabbits an Eco-friendly business?
Unfortunately, it is impossible to run a business with out having some negative impact on the environment. But here at Oaticakes for Rabbits we care deeply about the future of our planet and do all we can to reduce that impact.
We purchase our dry ingredients from other eco friendly businesses. With fresh ingredients we try to buy British whenever possible. Obviously, this is impossible with some produce like bananas. But we also grow a lot of our own fruit which I hope helps to balance the carbon footprint just a little. We compost any fruit and vegetable waste and often collect the water dehydrated out of the Oaticakes to water the garden. Packaging is a large part of Oaticakes and we do our very best to use packaging that is recycled and recyclable. Firstly, the Oaticakes bags although they are plastic, they are as green as possible in their production process. We have tried compostable bags for Oaticakes in the past and they just weren’t suitable. Plus many customers had no way to compost them so they were either going in landfill or accidentally contaminating other recyclables. The green plastic bags we use for Oaticakes are made by an innovative production process that converts sugar cane into green ethanol which is then used to make polythene. The finished bags have a renewable bio-base carbon content share of 95% and are 100% recyclable with other traditionally made soft plastics. The Oaticakes labels are made from recycled paper and we print all our own labels with an eco tank printer. The tissue paper and paper bubble wrap are made from recycled paper and are easy to recycle at home. The cardboard postal boxes are sealed with paper tape so they can both be recycled together. Finally, address labels are thermally printed which means we need to use less ink.
